740 Series The 740 Series high flow filtration elements are available in micron ratings between 2 and 70. When compared to traditional filtration solutions like string wound filters the 740 series has several overall cost advantages. Advantages gained by the innovative design and construction of the 740 series include:
Low Flow Filter Bags and Cartridges Melt blown polypropylene bags often work better than cartridges in low flow non critical filtration applications. 3M's polypropylene bags are 90% efficient at their micron rating. The bags' microfiber construction results in dirt holding capacities 10 to 20 times the bags' weight. Additionally, the bags feature good removal efficiencies with excellent initial pressure drops.

3M low flow cartridges are 99% efficient at their micron rating and are made of polypropylene. A patented radial pleat make 3M's cartridges different from competitive products and give them a much greater dirt holding capacity. For example the 700 series cartridges have 100 square feet of surface area to capture more dirt in less space.
